No, he actually can't. ...Unless someone else does (as a funny gag)! Think to some episodes of Tom And Jerry (MGM 1950s).
Crawford's sleeve makes it easy (and a unique way) to pull random objects out of 'hyperspace'. All of the cast in my cartoons have different ways of handling things and his sleeves serve as one.
Hyperspace is a term used to describe any space where any random object is stored. Characters can pull out objects out anything from anywhere with and out of hyperspace.
Plus, no other existing cartoon character has such emphasis on that part of a character's design. You can prove me wrong if you're able to.
Also, this part of his design is partially explained in the (my) storyline. You need more info on this or Crawford...?
